Chinese Culture Network News: August 14, 2009, organized by the Chinese Embassy in Mauritius, the Mauritius and China Government Scholarship 2009/2010 newborn in the Chinese Cultural Centre off reception hall.
Artists participated in this exhibition, as the outstanding representatives who participated in the “Youth Art +” project in previous years, present the general creation and development status of young Chinese artists and the ever-changing inheritance and innovation outlook of Chinese Arts. Under the current circumstances of rapid development of social economy and globalization, innovation and practice of Chinese young artists have been reflected and they also express the thinking, sharing and confidence expression of human civilization achievements which based on their cultural origins. This exhibition is a critical activity which responds to China national cultural development strategy and critical expression which shows the Chinese spirit and core values. This exhibition also greatly promotes and deepens the and exchange between youth cultural communication and people-to-people culture exchange. It is also hoped that through the sparks lightened by the youth, we can open new channels for contemporary China - Mauritius cultures and achieve mutual understanding and communication at the most common level of human spirit.Read More

In the afternoon of 8th April 2019, a donation ceremony was held at the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Mauritius to give out the proceeds obtained from the sales of tickets of the commercial martial arts show， “Legend of Kungfu”. The Mauritian Minister of Youth and Sports, Stephan Toussaint, Permanent Secretary Maubarakahmad Boodhun, Chinese Ambassador Sun Gongyi, Cultural Counsellor and Director of the China Cultural Center, Song Yanqun, President of Ip Man Wing Chun Association, Jacques Li, President of SACIM (Society for Aid to Children Inoperable in Mauritius), Dr Amrit Rajkomar, representatives of cooperative partners, representatives of the athletes benefiting from said donation and about a hundred guests attended the event. The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China donated a sum of one million rupees to the Le Reduit Appeal Fund. In this context, the State House in collaboration with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China and the China Cultural Centre organised a donation ceremony on 16th November at the State House Réduit in the presence of the President of the Republic of Mauritius, Dr Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Mauritius, Mr Sun Gongyi and other personalities.Read More

Vendredi dernier au J&J Auditorium à Phoenix, une soixantaine de danseurs du Tianjin Ballet racontaient en trois actes l’histoire d’un amour impossible entre le prince et sa princesse bien aimée, prisonnière d’un sort maléfique la rendant cygne le jour et femme la nuit. Le public a répondu présent pour cette interprétation du Lac des Cygnes, chef-d’oeuvre classique intemporel créé en 1875 par le compositeur russe Piotr Tchaïkovsky.Read More
